Sonoran Foothills is a new desert community that encompasses 800 acres 2 miles south of the Carefree Highway approximately at 27th Avenue. Sonoran Foothills is nearby a proposed desert mountain preserve and includes a 4000 square foot clubhouse with many activities in which you can participate in. Some of the included amenities are a lap and leisure pool, spa and many big grassy lawn areas. Sonoran Foothills also has several basketball courts, tennis courts, soccor field, many tot lots and many walking trails throughout the community. This beautiful community also has numerous large greenbelt areas.

Views from Sonoran Foothills are stunning as many homes have views of the various foothills off of the Carefree Highway. To get to Sonoran Foothills community either head south (27th Ave) from the Carefree Highway or north from Happy Valley and Norterra Parkway.

Builders in the Sonoran Foothills include Maracay Homes, Toll Brothers, TW Lewis, Shea Homes, William Lyon and Engle Homes. These homes range in square footage from 1600 square feet to well over 4000. Some of the homes are being built with basements and some of the phases within Sonoran Foothills are gated. Sonoran Foothills is a community that is hoping to blend in with the views of the foothills therefore front landscapes are limited to a desert landscaping with desert plants. Many of the builders have wash areas differentiating the different building phases. These washes are also of a rustic desert landscape.
